Friday 10 – Sunday 12 October 2014
Fierce is an international festival of live art centred in Birmingham. The festival embraces theatre, dance, music, installations, activism, digital practices and parties. Fierce re-imagines the city with performances in out-of-the-ordinary spaces.
During the festival, Museum of Water will be sited in Moseley’s beautiful Grade II listed swimming baths. Despite being the oldest of only three swimming baths currently operating in Britain, the future of the baths are now very much in doubt with calls to transfer ownership from local authority control. Dearly treasured by the local community, the Moseley Road Baths are a window on a lifestyle that was common to millions of Britons at the turn of the 19th century.
